California Proposition 65 Warning

At G-Floor®, we are committed to providing transparent information to help our customers make informed decisions about the products they choose. In compliance with California’s Proposition 65, we provide the following warnings for select products sold on GFloor.com.

What is Proposition 65?

Proposition 65, officially known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. These chemicals can be found in many everyday products, including flooring and construction materials. The State of California maintains a list of over 900 such chemicals.

Why Are These Warnings Provided?

A Proposition 65 warning does not mean a product is unsafe or violates any safety standard or regulation. The warning is provided to ensure transparency when a listed chemical is present—even in trace amounts—above threshold levels defined by California law.

Best Practices for Product Use

To minimize exposure:

  • Always follow recommended installation, care, and maintenance guidelines.

  • Use in well-ventilated areas when possible.

  • Avoid cutting, burning, or sanding materials unnecessarily, which may increase exposure risk.
